2025: A Year of Building Stronger Foundations

This week marks my final days at the desk for 2025 so this will be my last note to you for the year – can you believe it?

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been doing what I often encourage leaders and teams to do – carving out time to reflect. Not just on what was delivered but on what was learned. Because more often than not, the real value isn’t in the activity, it’s in the insight.

And 2025 has been revealing…

Across industries, conversations, and continents, I’ve seen the same tensions emerge: expectations are rising, change is accelerating, and many of the old models for performance simply aren’t holding up. Yet the leaders and teams who are thriving aren’t doing more – they’re building stronger foundations. And this insight has very much shaped my work this year.

Here are a few moments I’m proud of because of what they enabled for the people and organisations I work with:

  • Supporting thousands of professionals globally through keynotes and workshops, helping them navigate complexity with greater confidence, clarity, and capacity

    (including those captured below)

  • Designing and delivering evidence-based programs for organisations serious about sustainable high-performance not just quick fixes or surface-level change

  • Expanding my speaking reach this year, including joining the Saxton Speakers Bureau, which has enabled this work to reach new audiences and industries

  • Helping teams make sense of the AI shift, and positioning AI as a capacity creator rather than a pressure multiplier, through a new partnership, keynote and offerings focused on the human edge required to thrive

  • Working closely with high-performing senior leaders through coaching to reconnect with their purpose and find greater satisfaction in how they live and work

  • Partnering with like-minded collaborators who share a similar purpose including Maxme, The Michelle McQuaid Group, Learna and The Good Foundry

  • Collaborating with The University of Melbourne and Harvard University on a research project focused on job crafting and coaching

  • Continuing to give back through $10K+ in pro bono workshops and 10 free Masterclasses because access to good thinking and development matters

  • And strengthening the foundations of my own practice by bringing on board a Practice Manager so we can continue to grow and serve clients even better!

Looking Ahead

As I look to 2026, I see a year defined less by certainty and more by choice.

The leaders and organisations who will perform well over the long haul won’t be those with the best tools but those best equipped to thrive amid uncertainty and disruption.

The first quarter is filling with keynotes, leadership programs, and team workshops, with new thinking and research taking shape behind the scenes to support what’s coming next.

My focus remains unchanged: supporting leaders and teams to build strong, resilient, human-centred cultures that deliver exceptional results because people are well, capable, and engaged, not in spite of it.

Thank you for your support this year – for reading, reflecting, challenging ideas, and being part of the conversation. I am so grateful to do the work I love.

I hope you have a restful and relaxing break. I’m already feeling so excited and energised by what’s to come, and you’ll hear from me in February, ready to continue the conversation.
